Our Story
Our journey with tea began as tea traders and managers 50 years ago. However, what started as a small venture in trading and managing a leased factory soon grew into a thriving business. It was in 1997 when we set up the Luhit Tea factory which derives its name from the famous Lohit River, near which our factory was set up. The factory symbolizes our enduring commitment to preserving the region’s rich traditions and celebrating its heritage through our tea.
Over the past 27 years, our company has experienced significant growth, successfully diversifying into various operations. In 1997, we launched our own brand, ‘Shivamguri,’ and further expanded by establishing Samprikimi Tea Industries in partnership in 2015. In 2022, we entered the private labeling sector, followed by our foray into exports in 2024. These strategic milestones have enabled us to serve retail brands, broker houses, and exporters effectively, while scaling our manufacturing capacity to 3 million kilograms annually.
